Community & Acceptable Use Rules

• Represent yourself, your company and your stock accurately.
• Only post stock you hold or can genuinely source.
• Respond professionally and honestly to RFQs and quotes.
• Respect the confidentiality of information other members share with you.
• Keep your account credentials secure and use one account per person.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging or repeated irrelevant contact.
• Scams, fraud, advance-fee schemes or deceptive payment requests.
• Impersonating another person, company or ChipTrades itself.
• Creating fraudulent, duplicate or automated accounts.
• Uploading or distributing malicious software or harmful code.
• Scraping, crawling, bulk extraction or automated collection of platform data.
• Harvesting member contact information for use outside the platform.
• Misusing anonymous RFQs, or attempting to identify or de-anonymise a buyer.
• Publishing confidential information without authority to do so.
• Knowingly advertising counterfeit, stolen, cloned or misrepresented goods.
• Any unlawful activity, including breach of export control or sanctions rules.
• Harassment, abuse, threats or discriminatory conduct.
• Probing, bypassing or interfering with platform security, rate limits or access controls.
• Misrepresenting your relationship with a manufacturer, distributor, broker, authorised channel partner or other business, including falsely claiming to be authorised or affiliated with another company.
• Using another member's company name, branding, documents or credentials in a misleading or unauthorised manner.

Where we consider it necessary, ChipTrades may remove or restrict content, limit platform functionality, suspend an account or terminate membership — with or without prior notice. We may also decline applications and retain records of enforcement action for security and legal purposes.

We may preserve relevant account, content, technical or communication records where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal purposes.

Report suspected rule breaches, suspicious listings or abusive behaviour to sales@chiptrades.com, including the part number, member or message concerned. Listings can also be reported directly from the platform.
